I left Minneapolis back in 2000, I returned to visit family and friends about 10 years later, so I was there in 2011 for a couple weeks, and encountered myself that all the good areas to hang out at night, like Bare-Ass Beach, which I remember back in the mid 90s, was to spot to hang with friends smoking a cig and having good time looking at all the guys walk by ;) Well, to my sad surprise, NOTHING like it was before, it is almost like some one was frantically determined to destroy the Bare Ass beach, or what was going on there, shame, the best years of my life and some of my best memories, are made there!

NEVER park in Downtown Auto Park's ramps ever. Ron Hansen their general manager is nothing but complete MOTHER FUCKING COCKSUCKER ever known. And I must say, Ron Hansen is the worst person that I ever worked with ever in history! He messes with other people's personal matters, he wrongfully accuses people over stupid shit, and even severed my mother's parking for no legitimate reason! I HATE the people over at Downtown Auto Park and worst of all I still HATE Ron Hansen to this day! You FUCKIN SUCK Ron Hansen you COCKSUCKER and I will never park or ever work for you ever again! This is free advice from a former employee who worked at Downtown Auto Park and worked with Ron Hansen. Just better hope I never see this FUCKING Ron's face ever again!

  • Williams Arena, Richard Zajicek (guest) wrote 7 years ago:
Williams Arena, "The Barn," is home to the University of Minnesota Basketball team. It was constructed in the 1920s and opened in 1928, and presently has a seating capacity of 14,625. From 1950 to 1971 it seated 18,025 people, but it was not uncommon for more than 20,000 fans to pack the arena... this was before the fire marshals came.

  • Investors Building, Michael Heinsohn (guest) wrote 8 years ago:
As of this year (2016) The Investors Building is undergoing significant renovations to the first and second floors, as well as the corner facade on 8th and Marquette Avenue. A glass facade running up the corner will replace the current stonework, and the interior atrium will be opened to the second floor. The post office has permanently vacated the premisis due to the renovations, and several tenants on first and second floor are being relocated. the main entry will be relocated to the corner of the building, as part of the corner-facade renovation. As of this time, Wells-Fargo, formerly the primary tenant of the Investors Building (as well as Roanoke and the 730 Building (formerly US Trust and before that the Peavey Building), has moved out to their new facilities located around US Bank Stadium.

The Northwestern National Life Building, now known as the ING Reliastar Building, can be found at 20 Washington Avenue South in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Built in 1964 by Minoru Yamasaki and Associates, it is a fine example of the modernist architecture of the time.
