Minneapolis, Minnesota

Minneapolis (pronounced IPA: /ˌmɪniˈæpəlɪs/) is the largest city in the U.S. state of Minnesota and is the county seat of Hennepin County. The city lies on both banks of the Mississippi River, just north of the river's confluence with the Minnesota River, and adjoins Saint Paul, the state's capital. Known as the Twin Cities, these two cities form the core of Minneapolis-St. Paul, the fifteenth largest metropolitan area in the United States, with about 3.5 million residents. The U.S. Census Bureau estimated the population of the city of Minneapolis at 372,811 people in 2005. The Metropolitan Council estimate for 2006 was 387,970.

Abundantly rich in water, the city has twenty lakes and wetlands, the Mississippi riverfront, creeks and waterfalls, many connected by parkways in the Chain of Lakes and the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway. Once the world's flour milling capital and a hub for timber, Minneapolis is the primary business center between Chicago, Illinois, and Seattle, Washington. Regional theater was pioneered at the Guthrie Theater, one of many cultural organizations that draw creative people and audiences to Minneapolis for theater, visual art, writing and music. A diverse population, the community has a long tradition of charitable support through progressive public social programs and through private and corporate philanthropy. Public park systems are modeled after Minneapolis where a park is within one-half mile (800 m) of every home.

The name Minneapolis is attributed to the city's first schoolmaster, who combined mni, the Dakota word for water, and polis, the Greek word for city. Minneapolis is nicknamed the City of Lakes and the Mill City.

I left Minneapolis back in 2000, I returned to visit family and friends about 10 years later, so I was there in 2011 for a couple weeks, and encountered myself that all the good areas to hang out at night, like Bare-Ass Beach, which I remember back in the mid 90s, was to spot to hang with friends smoking a cig and having good time looking at all the guys walk by ;) Well, to my sad surprise, NOTHING like it was before, it is almost like some one was frantically determined to destroy the Bare Ass beach, or what was going on there, shame, the best years of my life and some of my best memories, are made there!

NEVER park in Downtown Auto Park's ramps ever. Ron Hansen their general manager is nothing but complete MOTHER FUCKING COCKSUCKER ever known. And I must say, Ron Hansen is the worst person that I ever worked with ever in history! He messes with other people's personal matters, he wrongfully accuses people over stupid shit, and even severed my mother's parking for no legitimate reason! I HATE the people over at Downtown Auto Park and worst of all I still HATE Ron Hansen to this day! You FUCKIN SUCK Ron Hansen you COCKSUCKER and I will never park or ever work for you ever again! This is free advice from a former employee who worked at Downtown Auto Park and worked with Ron Hansen. Just better hope I never see this FUCKING Ron's face ever again!
